Marc Hennerici succeeds in 24h race at Nürburgring
|

The main highlight of the Endurance Season 2012 on the Nürburgring (Nordschleife), the ADAC Zurich 24h race, resulted in a splendid success for Marc Hennerici. Among a field of 170 cars participating in the race, his Porsche GT3R of the newly established Timbuli Racing Team managed to finish the Eifelmarathon in 11th place and to finish the race furthermore as second best Porsche. |

However, in the beginning the GT3-R-Porsche driven by Marc Hennerici, Marco Seefried, Norbert Siedler and Dennis Busch was subjected to a 24-hour-ordeal. A tire failure in the early stages of the race, an accident when lapping a slower car and one more tire failure on Sunday morning threw back the foursome again and again.
The independent world touring car champion (2005) analyzed afterwards: “The performance of our car was excellent. Unbelievable, what we could have achieved without all these backlashes“.
“However, every 24-hour-race has its own rationale. Therefore, we are happy to have seen the checkered flag. We owe this success first and foremost to the race mechanic team working sacrificially with their managing engineer Michele Rinaldi.“
