BES and VLN: Busy schedule for Hennerici

Marc Hennerici quits GT1 World Championship: Joining ProSpeed-Porsche in Blancpain-Endurance-Series and Timbuli Racing in VLN

Even though Marc Hennerici will not compete again in GT1 World Championship in 2012, he will still be driving cars of the same caliber. The 29-year-old man from Mayen, who finalized his degree in economics in 2011 besides completing the GT1 season along with Bas Leinders, will start in two series this year. The independent world touring car champion (2005) will drive a Porsche 911 GT3-R in the Blancpain-Endurance-Series (BES) together with experienced drivers like Marc Goossens and Xavier Maassen.

The car will be provided by Belgian Team ProSpeed. “The best teams from all over Europe will participate in BES – that’s why we will be there “ states team leader Rudi Penders. “I‘m looking forward to teaming up with ProSpeed and such great colleagues like Xavier and Marc. ProSpeed has proven its professionalism over the past decade in GT sports“, says Hennerici.

He continues: “This year is bound to be very special for me since mo-we-ko and I are celebrating the tenth anniversary of our partnership. We are very pleased that we have been able to finalize such a great package for 2012. I can’t wait to get back behind the wheel. “

Hennerici will not only participate in BES but also in the VLN races. He is supposed to drive the Porsche amongst others with Marco Seefrid and Norbert Siedler for the new team Timbuli. Further details will be revealed next Monday.
